5 Quick Tips for Ordering Eagle Parts

Need to order EAGLE parts for your equipment? Here are 5 quick things you need to do first!

Eagle Equipment was founded in 1954. Over the last 62 years, Eagle has had a lot of different styles and makes of lifts and tire equipment. These different styles have different Eagle parts and specifications. The intricate part for our parts specialists is to make sure that they know what model and make equipment you have and the specific part you need. We want to make sure the part we send you will be the fix you need to keep working.

At Eagle Equipment, we want to do everything we can to help you in the most efficient and time-effective way possible. Here are some tips:

  1. Call our Parts line or fill out a Parts Request Form online. We have parts specialists to assist you in getting the correct Eagle parts for your Eagle equipment. This is the number that is also on your equipment, 800-535-0016.
To fill out a Parts Request Form, simply click here. If you submit a form, please allow our specialists time to process the request.

2. Try to have the telephone number you used when purchasing your equipment from Eagle Equipment or the original order number. This helps us to easily locate your order in our system and verify the equipment you have. We understand that you may not have ordered direct from us, and so you would not be in the system. That’s ok…. See #4!

3. The model number and serial number from the plate on your machine. This helps us to ensure we’re selling you the correct parts for the correct model. The model number may be something like the MTP-9F or the ETC-550.

4. We may ask you to send us photos of the Eagle part, or the equipment, that you’re looking for. This just helps us to ensure we’re all on the same page.

5. Make sure we have the correct email address for you. This is the easiest way for us to send you Eagle parts diagrams and photos.

We appreciate your business and are here to assist in getting you the right part for your Eagle purchase. Give us a call.

Petty’s Garage Has New Equipment for “The King”

RichardPettyfavorites0005They call him “The King”. He’s a legend. A champion NASCAR driver for his record setting Daytona 500 and NASCAR championship wins. Richard Petty IS NASCAR. He began racing in 1958. In all, Petty accumulated 200 victories, and seven Cup championships, before retiring in 1992. He started more races, won more races, and made more money than any stock-car driver in history. I don’t have to tell you how amazing his career is.

Now, Petty’s name is on a high-performance speed shop in his hometown of Level Cross, NC. Petty’s Garage modifies all sorts of cars, focusing on Mustangs and Jeep Wranglers; through a deal they have with Ford. The engines are louder, the paint job is sleeker and the rims are off the chain. These cars are sweet. What’s even more interesting to us is to see the guys in the shop modifying these cars. How they do it, what equipment they use and the process.

When Petty’s Garage started to modify a lot of cars at once, they found a need for some equipment upgrades in their shop. Standard Tools and Equipment Co., based just 20 minutes apart, had everything they needed.

We are so excited to announce that Standard Tools and Equipment has partnered with Petty’s Garage to offer some of the best equipment on the market for their needs. So, what are they using in their shop? This video will give you a sneak peek inside their speed shop, with The King himself.

Over the years we have had customers from all industries and fame-levels. Here in North Carolina, Richard Petty, is the ultimate local icon. It was such an exciting experience to provide ‘The KING’ with equipment to do what he does best, modify cars.

Petty’s Garage has a custom sanding and prep booth and a side-downdraft paint booth for that custom petty paint job. There is a Sure-Cure air makeup unit attached to the paint booth for easy temperature control and quick cures. After all, they have a lot of cars to do and don’t have time to wait for it to dry.

Down the road, still in Level Cross, sits a storage building with eight storage lifts from Eagle Equipment that house racecars from the past. Cars once driven by Richard, Kyle and even Adam. See photos of those lifts on our blog.

We also have some tire equipment and our alignment system over at Petty’s Garage. After all, once they put those big tires on the Jeeps, they need to make sure they go straight.

At Standard Tools, we believe that with the right equipment, you can be the King of your garage. We want to assist you in selecting the equipment that will not only fit your needs, but also be there when you business grows and changes. Give us a call at 800.336.2776.

Richard Petty is sport’s most enduring and perhaps endearing figure. Both Petty’s Garage and Standard Tools’ are trusted and established brands in our perspective industries. Petty is an icon in the racing world, but moreover, he is known as a man who is passionate about what he does, works hard and is a perfectionist about his work. That’s someone that we’re proud to have as an advocate for our brand.

It’s an Eagle Lift …. or is it?

Each and every day, we spend a great deal of time on our competitor’s lifts. Yes, you read that right. We get several calls a day from folks looking for parts and support on a car lift they have. They assume it’s an Eagle. They know Eagle; we have been around so long (since 1954) the name is practically synonymous with automotive lifts. The way every soft drink is a Coke. It can also be that they can’t find any help elsewhere, and they think that if they tell us they have an Eagle lift, we can help them. They assume all lift parts are pretty much the same. But Coke isn’t Pepsi, and Chevy isn’t Ford.

There seems to be an assumption that there is only one model of Eagle lift. The one the customer is calling about. No model number, no serial number; just: “I have an Eagle lift”. It’ like walking into an automotive parts house and telling them you have a Chevy you want some parts for; but you don’t know the make, model or year. Or telling them you have a Pontiac, when you actually have a Toyota; and expecting to get the right part. We regret that people get upset, or frustrated, with us for a lift we never built, bought or sold. There are several things add to their confusion:

1] Some less-than-reputable people sell their lifts as Eagle product, because they cannot support it. So they download our manuals, or put a sticker with our name on it. Yet, when we try to find any record of this purchase, nothing comes up. Only after much time and effort do we usually discover the product was never an Eagle Lift.

2] Sometimes people have more than one brand of lift in their shop, and if they look similar enough, it’s assumed the parts are interchangeable.

3] General designations which tend to be used throughout the industry, such as Models “TPO-9A” or the like. This abbreviation stands for “Two-Post Overhead 9,000lbs. Asymmetric”; and more than a few manufacturers have used it, based on the original Eagle lift model.

Here are a couple examples of “TPO-9” lifts that we never made or sold by Eagle:

What’s My Model Number on My Eagle Equipment?

What is a model number/serial number and do I need to know it?
Wayne Piner, Eagle Equipment Sales

Did you know that your new Eagle Equipment comes with a unique serial number and a model number? On the lifts, it should be visible on a plate on one of the columns. On the tire equipment, it is located on a plate on the back of the machine.

FullSizeRender FullSizeRender[1] FullSizeRender[2] FullSizeRender[4]Did you know that you should keep this information handy so that you can use it when you call us for replacement parts or if you have a warranty part that you need? If you can provide us with the model number when you call, we can assist you in a quick manner and get you the correct parts for your machine.

This also tells us if your equipment is from Eagle. We have customers call us all the time because their lift is unbranded, and they don’t know who to call! Your model number will tell us whom you should contact, if it’s not ours.

The serial number is unique to your piece of equipment. It helps us to manage inventory and track it from the manufacturer to your garage. The model is the style or type of equipment. Just like a car … you need to know the make and model for parts and service. When you go to a parts store to order brakes or get new wiper blades, you need your make and model. When you call Eagle, you need to know your model number and style (for example, a MTP-9A or a BRI ETC-550). This information tells us almost everything we need to assist you.

While people think all lifts are made equal and they are all manufactured from the same parts, this isn’t correct. The parts for your machine are not universal. They are unique to the model number.

Over the years, lifts and equipment have changed due to manufacturers and improvements in technology. The model number / serial number is vital to identify the correct part needed.

We are continually striving to improve our parts manuals and guides, so look for more helpful information to come!

First, I want to thank all of you at Standard Tools for the decals you sent me for my lift. It’s much nicer walking into the shop seeing the Eagle Logo as soon as you come in.

Second, I have to tell you that I absolutely love this MTP-9A lift.

I was able to do the installation myself, with some help from some friends to lift the posts into position. The instructions that came with the unit were clear, simple, and walked me through the process step-by-step. I bought this lift after doing a lot of research on what is available and at what price. No doubt, Eagle offered the best bang for the buck.

The use is primarily for my personal vehicles and as a hobbyist. I installed it in February 2015 and have used it quite extensively since. I worked in a professional garage for eight years as an auto mechanic, so, I’m familiar with two post above ground lifts.

I can say first hand, this Eagle Lift is Superior in Quality, Safety and Performance to the lifts in the garage where I worked. Also, the 8-gallon oil drain is great. It’s so nice being able to see the oil level through the translucent plastic. You know exactly when to empty it, and there will be no accidents of overfill. Bottom line…thanks to you all at Eagle Equipment for making a Quality, Safe and Affordable lift.

Your equipment is First Class, and I tell my mechanic friends that when they come into my shop.

Using the Mount / Dismount Head on The Eagle Tire Changer

Sometimes it’s the little things that can cause the most damage, like improper use of your equipment. With your Eagle Tire Changer, the proper positioning of your mount/demount head is essential so that damage doesn’t occur to the tire or rim.

With the cost of rim and tires these days, you do not want to have to pay a hundreds of dollars for a new rim or tire. Below is the proper way to adjust and position the mount head.
